MyeloProliferative Neoplasms-MPN Online Resource
Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) are relatively rare chronic hematologic malignancies that include the classic Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Disorders:Ph negative Essential Thrombocythemia (ET); Myelofibrosis (MF); Polycythemia Vera (PV); Ph positive Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML). There are atypical Myeloproliferative Neoplasm Disorders which include molecularly defined PDGFRA-rearranged eosinophilic/mast cell disorders; PDGFRB-rearranged eosinophilic disorders; systemic mastocytosis associated with c-kit mutation; 8p11 Myeloproliferative syndrome; and juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia with recurrent mutations of RAS. MPN also includes the clinicopathologically assigned variants: chronic neutrophilic leukemia; chronic eosinophilic leukemia; hypereosinophillic syndrome, chronic basophilic leukemia, chronic monomyelomonocytic leukemia, systemic mastocytosis; and unclassified myeloproliferative disorder. Chronic myeloid disorders also include myelodysplastic syndrome.

The CML Society unifies and brings the voice of survivors to the management of Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia and the improvement of care and quality of life issues through patient support, education, research and advocacy.
The National CML Society was created by and for patients and their families in order to provide a centralized hub of information for this rare form of leukemia. Founded in 2007 as Carolyn's Hope, in December 2009 the organization became The National CML Society (NCMLS), serving the needs of the CML community in the United States and its Territories.

Association of Online Cancer Resources. The first of the online cancer patient fora, the CML list was THE forum that spread the word about phase 1 and 11 trials of imatinib (then STI571) in 1998. CML list is now much less active, but the CLL and other lists are still very active. A good resource.
The US based Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Society's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
