Reflexology and massage..Chinese medicine?
Hi all, I have not posted for a while but always find the support of the forum so helpful.
What I would like your advice on is weather it is ok to have reflexology and massage while taking Live. I have used the clinic (Chinese) to have ear candling done a few times.. and they are always trying to pursue me to try reflexology and massage as well as taking various herbs. I have not taken any herbal remedies as I am worried that they would re-act to give, however yesterday I relented when I went to see them for a blocked ear and the doctor talked me into trying refluxing and a rather vigorous back massage. I feel awful today and have had to take ant sickness twice in order to keep my Live down. I would like to point out that I do have to take anti sickness every day with my medication as I have problems with being sick about 20 mins after I have taken it.
It could be a coincidence.. and I would like to know if any of your take remedies to support your treatment.. and If they are safe.
I do take my give with a full glass of water and food.. the Chinese doctor did not know that I had cm.. however he seemed to know just be taking my pulse and looking at my lounge.. that I was full of toxins..had poor liver and kidney function.. stomach problems and arthritis!! my liver profile is fine and I am unaware of any kidney problems, I do have arthritis. I am confident that my oncologist checks all of these things in clinic.
I tried to explain that the i have toxins in my body due to taking my medication.
What do you lovely people think?

Chinese medicines
Hi Michelle, I would personally be very wary of using Chinese clinics and herbal remedys, especially with cml & the drugs we have to take. Some of the Chinese clinics (and I am not saying yours is like this) have a very poor reputation & haven't always been honest in the "herbs" that they use. We had a clinic locally that was shut down for using "herbs" that weren't what they were supposed to be & quite a few people became unwell following "treatment". You could ask your oncologist for his opinion?
I have had complimentary reflexology at my local hospital and have found it very relaxing. A full medical history is always taken to ensure the oils are ok to be used with my treatment. Massage is good too but it makes me very tired & takes me a few days to recover as it does release toxins into the system, I find it helps to drink plenty of water.
Hope this may be of some help & I wish you all the best.
