Night sweats – Glivec side effect ?

Hi all, I been on Glivec for 2 weeks now, had some bad leg cramps for a few days easing off now, found Ibuprofen low does has helped.

Last couple of nights had some night sweats, have others found this, as I know this can be a sign of more advanced CML, which I am sure I have not given the tests / bone marrow already taken.

I have had night sweats all the time I've been on Glivec - 2 years now - but not all night, and not every night.  They are just one of those things we have to put up with.  As well as feeling tired and chilled during the day, puffy/watery eyes etc etc.  I have found that all the side effects are much reduced from what they were when I started.

The only really really important thing is to keep taking the pills: as my doc said, "They don't work if you don't take them".

my husband had been having night sweats for about 6 months before he was dx'ed. He was very unwell but was still in first stage of cml. I could be a side effect or it could be the cml itself.
