my brother has been dignosed  cml 18 days ago on the basis of PCR test. onward  bone merrow aspiration and biopsy done .what is difference between PCR TEST AND BIOPSY.

Without getting too technical, the PCR test was likely performed on your brothers blood, whereas the biopsy would have been on bone marrow. 

These days blood tests are very accurate, but for the definitive genetic tests the bone marrow biopsy gives the irrefutable result. In most cases, and indeed in my own, the biopsy was taken to confirm what was already 99% expected.
