supplements: Gaba and L-Thiamine?

Hi,

My psych wants me to take Gaba, Fish Oil, and L-Thianine.

I take 100mg Sprycel once a day. My CML level (what do you call that, Dr uses 3 letters?) is .02.It was 100 8 months ago, when I started treatment.

Are these supplements safe for CML patients?

I bought a supplement called Gaba. Long ago I was prescribed Gabapentin (Neurotin), I assume it's the same thing?

Because Gabapentin info includes: "Serious side effects include an increased risk of suicide, aggressive behavior, and drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms." Eosinophilia, i think, touches on things involving CML.

I will ask my specialist asap. Until then, any comments?

L-Thianine I know nothing about, yet.

Thank you.

Apparently, Gabapentin inhibits BCAT1 which drive CML progression to blast so may be you should consider getting back on it.

Why were you on Gabapentin before?

Eosinophilia is a drug reaction which could happen with Imatinib or in my case, possibly Venetoclax. Don't worry too much about it.

GABA is Not Gabapentin it is a suplement
