IVF

Hello, I live in the UK and diagnosed with CML last year age 28. Has anyone else been diagnosed prior to starting a family and have any information on IVF funding?

Or on conceiving naturally?

Hi, I am 32 so in a similar situation. I live in the US but have been looking at all kinds of fertility programs that help with the cost of IVF, particularly with cancer patients. I also spoke with my oncologist about this. Your doctor has probably seen patients in our age range and would have a referral for a fertility specialist who is knowledgable about these things. These might be worth checking out:

Hope this helps!

Hi. I'm in the UK, 36, and looking into IVF after a couple of failed attempts to come off Dasatinib for long enough to conceive. Have you managed to find out more? Perhaps we could connect - it would be lovely to message someone in a similar situation.

Hey there -

Fertility and CML has come a long way in a few years. Are you trying to stop dasatinib as a potential mother or a father? There is a big difference, and not that many clinicians are up to speed with the latest data.

David.

Hi! Let’s absolutely connect. I am still in the same boat as you. I am trying to keep my spirits up by doing everything I can to prepare for all fertility options: connecting with a fertility center that will do a full work up for both me and my partner, applying for grants from organizations that fund fertility costs in cancer patients, and doing research on gestational carriers and adoption, just in case. Would love to hear how you’re doing.
